Thousands Of Bargain Hunters Bring Motorway To Standstill As They Rush To Grab Half-price Goods At New Superstore

Thousands of bargain hunters desperate to beat the credit crunch sparked chaos this morning at the opening of a Currys Megastore.
Police were called after reports of fights in the queue - and a motorway junction had to be closed as a wave of shoppers converged on the outlet.
More than 3,000 customers were after sat navs on sale for £19.99, half-price 40-inch LCD flat-screen TVs and PlayStation 3 consoles for less than £200.
Thousands of people buying things they don't need with money they don't have. Do you see why it is so urgent to wake them up?
